The Power of 1%: Routines That Fuel Your Energy, Fulfilment, and Results
I’ve come to believe that success isn't always about giant leaps—it’s about the small, intentional things we do consistently that build the biggest momentum.
Think about the routines, rituals, and habits that guide your day. Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and even yearly rhythms shape how you show up in your business—and more importantly, how long you can sustain that level of performance without crashing.
But here’s what’s often overlooked:
Those rituals only deliver real results if they’re built around your energy, not just your time.
I see it time and again with Business Founders: They’ve got productivity tools, they’ve got planners, and they’ve got ambition. But they’re still drained, stretched, or stuck.
The missing link? Energy Management.
Your calendar might be full of smart routines, but if those routines ignore your natural energy peaks and dips, they’ll work against you—not for you.
Here’s the shift I recommend:
Routines that Align with Your Energy
Daily:
Identify your peak energy window and use it for high-impact work.
Start and end the day with a renewal ritual—even just 10 minutes to reset.
Weekly:
Schedule an energy check-in (with yourself or your team). What drained you? What fuelled you?
Book at least one “focus block” aligned with your natural rhythm for deep work.
Monthly:
Review your energy investment vs. your ROI. Are your tasks, meetings, or habits energizing or exhausting?
Adjust your habits, not just your goals.
Quarterly:
Reset your commitments. Are you working in alignment with your vision—or just running on momentum?
Refresh your self-care, sleep, movement, and boundary practices based on what season you're in (both business and life).
Annually:
Design your year around your best energy. Don’t just set goals—plan how you’ll support the energy required to achieve them.
Audit your systems. Do they support sustainable growth… or secret depletion?
Here’s the truth:
You don’t need to overhaul everything overnight. Just start by tweaking one habit, one rhythm, one routine. The compounding effect of getting 1% better every day? That’s exponential. That’s legacy-level growth.
And when those tweaks are rooted in energy awareness, you don’t just grow—you thrive. With more clarity, more stamina, and more space to enjoy the success you’re building.
